About This Course

In this course students will be introduced to tools and techniques in analysing malware

In this course learners learn how to perform dynamic and static analysis on all major files types, how to carve malicious executables from documents and how to recognize common malware tactics and debug and disassemble malicious binaries. The course establishes the foundation for analyzing malware in a way that dramatically expands upon the findings of automated analysis tools. Learners learn to uncover characteristics of real-world malware samples, redirect and intercept network traffic to explore the specimen's capabilities by interacting with the malicious program.

Pre Requisites

  • Firm understanding of the Windows Operating System and computer architecture. Grasp of TCP/IP protocols
